Stephen W. McLaughlin
General Manager
Steve has an extensive background in swimming pool construction, swimming pool management and customer service. Steve became the General Manager of Carolina Pool Management in 2009 prior to that he was the Director of Operations for Carolina Pool Management from 2006 to 2009.
Steve started this career in the aquatics industry with Mid-Atlantic Pool Management in 2001. Steve managed swimming facilities, performed renovation/repair work as well as constructed new swimming pools until he moved to Charlotte in 2006.
Steve worked for a distributor of Miller Brewing Company as a Key Account Specialist from 1992 to 1998. Steve then made a career move into the telecom industry as a District Sales manager with Digex in their revenue retention organization from 1999 to 2001.
Steve lives in Charlotte with his wife and three children. He is a National Swimming Foundation Certified Pool Operator Instructor, South Carolina Licensed Pool Operator Instructor and an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard.
Brandon Vaughn
Service Division Director
Brandon has been an instrumental part of Carolina pool Management since starting with us as a lifeguard in 2001. Brandon has moved up in his career and became our Service Division Director in 2006. Brandon graduated from Montreat College in 2004 with a Business Management / Marketing Degree. Brandon played for the Montreat Varsity Baseball Team from 1999-2004 as a scholarship athlete. Brandon was also Captain of Team 2003-2004.
He is a National Swimming Foundation Certified Pool Operator as well as a South Carolina Licensed Pool Operator
Denise Carlton
Human Resources Director
Denise began working with Carolina Pool Management in 2000. She has 11 years experience working in the aquatics field as an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard and an Aquatics Director. Prior to joining the Carolina Pool Management team she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse at Mercy Hospital for 15 years. Denise grew up in a suburb of Pittsburg Pennsylvania. She received her diploma in nursing from Westmoreland and is married with two daughters.
